Mark Williams Says GOP Must Dump Arnold
Special Opinion Article by KFBK (1530 AM) Radio Host Mark Williams

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger isnt just a duck whos a little gimpy, hes a carrier of a deadly political form of Avian Flu and he is going to destroy the few tattered remains of the states Republican Party.
Where to begin?
How about with the look on Assembly Republican Leader Kevin McCarthys face Tuesday night in Hollywood. As the TV cameras followed Arnold swagger onto stage to do a victory dance they also passed by McCarthy, and his face told the story. He looked like a kid who had been waiting on Santa to bring along that Red Rider BB gun only to find under the tree new gym socks from grandma. Arnold strode right past McCarthy, who himself didnt even acknowledge the big guy as it appeared to me that the two went to lengths to not make eye contact, like they were the Bickersons at the divorce settlement hearing.
That summed it up. It also summed up nicely what I have been told by high-ranking republicans in Sacramento over and over again for months now. The complaint is that the governor is only a rumor in republican circles.

Ooops! Looks like I'm not the only one saying this, or else he's read some of my numerous posts on the same theme!!!

Unlike Ronald Reagan, Arnold is a Moderate, but the left and the right declared Reagan had to go, back in the 1970's. Arnold has been under attack by the Labor Unions and the MSM has been working with them very closely. I wouldn't count out Arnold yet

Uh-huh. So the state GOP dumps Arnold. Done months ago. But does this more public version mean that the state GOP is going to do anything?
Anyone?
Anyone?
Right.. I think even Tom McClintock is tired of the CAGOP. Their sole contribution to the state these days seems to be gathering together to bemoan how difficult it is in California.
The exact opposite of the national parties. Whereas the Democrats in California have communal insanity in putting forth items so radical that most Democrats can't agree with it, the CAGOP doesn't even offer up any plans for the forthcoming election other than possibly dumping Arnold.
It's Simon all over again, or a more recent example, Jones. You know, the guy who ran against Boxer. Though I doubt you could find three out of ten Californians who would know that.

And we'll replace him with??? Let's face it, this state is really screwed up and it will continue to get worse as the productive residents keep fleeing to Arizona and Nevada while being replaced by our undocumented friends to the south.

Wow, this is great. We got another Republican to whip saw. He`s toast, what the Rats don`t kill, we will. Oh, life is good. Arnie must go, California will be so much better off when the state employee unions completely run things.
Get out of the way, Rats, the conservatives are here to help. ( heres the neat thing, when Arnie is gone, we can blame him, the villain, cause he wasn`t pure enough)

For a chuckle or worse of true, the CA GOP brain trust is floating Carly Fiorina for Lt. Gub .. even tho Tom would dance circles around her on the issues ..

BS, he came closer than anyone taking on the unions in CA. They spent 200 million dollars they no longer have. Next year, put the measures back on the ballot and see what happens when they haven't the money. We won big time and we have to keep hitting hard. We beat Davis, we faced the left and had them use most of their resources. Now is the time to strike harder than ever. Only weak ass limp wristed wrinkley assed GOP 90 pound weak-saucers would quit now!!

It was terrible advice from Pete Wilson to inflame the Unions with another Prop 226 that they just defeated in June 1998! Even worse, was the idea that they could out GOTV the Unions in an off-time election!! And worst of all is the CAGOP has sold it's soul to this big oaf who will fall all over himself to cow-tow to the Unions, now that he feels they have defeated him and has stated so, publicly!!!
That's about enough to pull all the wrinkles outa yer differential!!!

As much as I admire McClintock, I wouldn't hold my breath for "Mr. 13 percent" [from the recall] becoming our next governor.

That's a great idea, because, based on the recent special election, I'm sure another Republican could win in a landslide. Right?

I will vote for Arnold if he runs again. I like McClintock but he doesn't have statewide appeal. I live in one of the few conservative areas of SoCal. People outside CA don't understand that a true conservative simply can't win here at this time. You go with your best option and hope it works. Maybe the financial condition of California will someday convince voters that a fiscal conservative, like Arnold, could turn this state around if he continued to have the support of the voters. The ads against Arnold on the TV this past elections were disgusting. Personal attacks against HIM, not trying to sway voters to the other side.
To: NormsRevenge
Well, she managed to run Lucent and HP into the ground. Sounds like the perfect qualifications for a government worker.

They spent 200 million dollars they no longer have. And can raise again in a heartbeat. On a per-member basis, it's worth every penny to them.
Funding conservative isssues is worth every penny to us too, but too many conservatives don't seem to know it.
