Thanks for running the last thread :o( of this season. Oh boy I'm gonna miss the races!
Oh wait it's gork, nork, tork & york isn't it?
Schrader says he has a BIG NEW sponsor coming to Nascar for his new 21 ride. Should be announced tomorrow.
And.........TV TV TV TV
65 Cams at Homestead: The "Chase for the Nextel Cup" races to the finish line at the Ford 400, Sunday, 3:00pm/et from Homestead-Miami Speedway, live in high definition on NBC. Coverage begins with a special one-hour "Bank of America Countdown to Green" pre-race show, followed by green flag racing at 4:00pm/et. NBC's production arsenal for the Ford 400 NASCAR Nextel Cup finale will include 65 cameras, including eight cars with in-car cameras and three isolation cameras focused on the top three drivers in the championship "Chase." The "Tony-Cam," "Jimmie-Cam" and "Carl-Cam" will be isolated on points leader Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson (-52) and Carl Edwards (-87) respectively. NBC also will have a "Crew-Cam" mounted on the helmet of Stewart's rear tire carrier, Jody Forston, that will show the speed and pressure from his point of view during Stewart's pit stops.(NBC PR)(11-17-2005)
Thanks to Jayski via JR for the info.

I think it's from Jayski, but not sure.
Looks like a Jayski piece.
Season Finale...man, the NASCAR withdrawls are going to hurt and Tar Heel basketball isn't going to be much of a cure this year.

* Denotes Rookie ** Denotes driver/team not in the top 30 in owners' points among teams with 24 attempts; must qualify on time (fastest 5 of 12 plus either Jack Sprague-2001 Truck champ or 6th-fastest of 12). All of these teams, as well as any other team, will need to qualify on time, find a past champ who ran this year, or transfer points from a team in the top 30 for the first 4 races next year. |
- The top 48 in drivers' points who aren't locked in the All-Star Challenge (ending with Mike Garvey and including the not-entered Mike Wallace, Jason Leffler, Boris Said, Johnny Sauter, Hermie Sadler, Bill Elliot, and Martin Truex Jr.) are eligible because they can't fall below 50th in drivers' points.
- Mike Skinner (49th) clinches if he finishes 19th or better, 20th/better with a lap led, or 24th/better with the most laps led; OR if he qualifies and if Carl Long finishes 31st/worse with no laps led, 32nd/worse with a lap led, or 36th/worse with the most laps led, or doesn't qualify; OR if he doesn't qualify and if Carl Long finishes 20th/worse with no laps led, 22nd/worse with 1 lap led, or 25th/worse with the most laps led, or doesn't qualify.
- The idle Tony Raines (50th) clinches if Carl Long finishes 34th/worse with no laps led, 36th/worse with a lap led, or 37th/worse with the most laps led, or doesn't qualify; AND Kenny Wallace finishes 8th/worse with no laps led, 10th/worse with 1 lap led, or 11th/worse with the most laps led.
- Carl Long can clinch if he finishes 17th/better with no laps led, 19th/better with a lap led, or 22nd/better with the most laps led.
- Kenny Wallace needs some help, but he can get there; he's got 143 points to make up on Tony Raines and 80 on Carl Long, a top-notch organization, and unlike Long, a guaranteed spot in the race. Of course, he could win and skip right to the All-Star Challenge :-)
Update on the 77 - Kodak and Travis Kvapil WILL be back at the #77 Penske/Jasper Dodge next year.

Way to go Jr getting one of the greatest sponsors out there and having your own team!
I guess in this case e-mailing isn't going to help Kenny!! :)
I just wish he could drive a car like the 97 that is top notch as far as equipment goes.
http://www.nascar.com/2005/games/11/17/preview.miami/index.html
Bummer! I never get anywhere on time if I had to drive that slow.
I have an older sister that lives in Lexington, N.C., and a friend of hers that works at JGR emailed her these pics of Bobby's last ride in the #18 Interstate Batteries Chevy. Looks like all the employees signed the car.
Wow those are big, my computer just went bonkers.
Good pics though.
