Innocent Muslim? Where? Get my camera!
What's E-Ring?
I'm sorry, I have never heard of e-ring?
What or who is that?
E-Ring has been the pleasant surprise of the season. I had huge doubts with Dennis Hopper on it, but it has been almost as enjoyable from a not-pandering-to-liberal-politics viewpoint as "24" last season. I cringed when I saw this shows' plot, but the series has been something I think most Freepers would enjoy.
Hopefully, this episode won't change my mind when I watch it (Tivo'ed, wife is watching the Johnny Cash thing).
Maybe if the media wishes hard enough, and collectively clicks their ruby red slippers fast enough, all the butchers in the Middle East will suddenly turn Christian?
"Evil Christians Kill Innocent Muslims"
Hey, that is new and original. One would have thought it would be the other way around.
I HATE IT when that happens!
I thought "E-Ring" was an OK show until this episode portraying "Christian extremists" taking over a mosque, holding hostages, and blowing up government rescuers. Based on the portrayal of the angry "Christian" captors, none of the writers or producers have actually ever met any real Christians. Disturbing, but hardly surprising.
It's been a great show so far, taking the sting out of losing JAG and waiting for "24". But tonight's plot is so ridiculous I skipped it. And two weeks ago a subplot had a journalist being lectured and excoriated for leaking the name of a female CIA agent [wonder where that idea came from? - nudge-nudge]. If the show dgenerates into a West Wing with military iniforms I'll dump it in a heart-beat.
Two of the last three Law & Orders have been stinkers. The Minutemen prosecuted tonight, and "Christians" resorting to bombs and terrorism to keep a "loving husband" [Schaivo?] from "allowing his wife to die with dignity." A few more liberal wet-dreams as plots and I am through with this once-great show.
I was a fan of the show since the start of the season. I usually visit the website for the show to get an idea for the weeks episode.
This week I made the decision to watch "Stacked" live instead of taped.
I have tried to like this program, but they are just so PC. I give up. Last nights episode was the last one I'll watch.
susie
E-Ring has just jumped the PC shark.
The latest episode treated us to; a female lawyer Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Ops who just happens to be the romantic interest for the sensistive male lead Spec Ops Major, another female lawyer (who happens to be a rape victim) in Bosnia collecting evidence/testimony against evil Christian Serbian soldiers who set up a rape factory, a haunted beautiful blonde Bosnian rape victim/witness, praise for the International Court, gratuitous qoutes of President Clinton, and male-chauvinist American Generals. In short, this series has become a typical liberal sript-writers' wet-dream soap-opera view of the Pentagon and Special Operations. I'm surprised there wasn't a pitch in there for gun-control!
No need for me record/watch this series any longer.
