When Mr Reid became MINORITY (although you would hardly know it) leader the buzz in the press was he was a moderate,down home,even pro life senator.

I said at the time that I watched him during the Trent Lott episode declare that Republicans have for years worked to disenfranchise blacks in the south.
He never once offered even a flimsy example,just stated it as accepted fact without need of evidence or explanation.Of course it went unchallenged by the interviewer.

I said that because of that type of statement he could never be trusted and his whole persona was a charade.
Nothing has changed.
