Woodward said to "keep him out of this reporting".

Wilson told Novak: "Keep my wife out of this."

So there are people saying: You can report this but not that. The truth is a complete puzzle. Anything less is an "agenda".

Please forgive a dumb question here. But, if this case ends up getting thrown out soon or if Libby is exonerated soon, is there any chance Libby will get his job back? Or would that not be the right thing to do to the guy who replaced him? This whole thing just sickens me.

Fitzgerald's testicles are in a vise!

and this "genius" lawyer will have to dismiss the charges against Libby!

This clown, Fitzgerald wasted millions of taxpayers' dollars(fattening his and his assistants' bank accounts) and two years "investigating" what any "beat cop" in America could have determined was not a crime; that being that Ms. Valerie 007 WAS NOT A COVERT AGENT!
next case...

It is very interesting that one of the "Three Sources" who spoke with Woodward was Andy Card.

I wonder what will become of that, if anything.

If this goes forward hopefully Libby will demand a jury trial with cameras and live coverage - and then call all these reporters and lib dems as "hostile" witnesses

Is this a request to suborn perjury?

Is this a case of perjury? How else do you read this?

"He asked me to keep him out of the reporting and I agreed to do that," Pincus said today.

Years ago, a top man at a major newspaper was arrested for DUI - when a reporter asked him where the story should run, he said he was an important person and the story belonged on the front page. And that's where it ran. That's integrity.

The Washington Post isn't quite in the Jason Blair Club, but knowingly not covering something like this is close. Too close. Shame on them.

I love how reporters always wrap themselves in the flag of truth to put themselves above the law. That is, of course, when it's not to protect them or their own, then they lie like sleeping dogs.

"Pincus said he did not believe Woodward had purposely lied about their conversation, saying, "I think he thought he told me something."

Pinkie, you sound very worried about something.......

Millions of dollars has been spent on this investigation.
Time, money, and effort spent on this issue that was not an issue.
President Bush and his administration have taken much, much abuse.
The negative press has hurt out men and women in Iraq, it can't help but hurt them.

Woodward and every media person involved should be fired. Bob Woodward is a scumbag.

That said --- there is still more to the Wilson story and the fake docs. I think it goes back into the clinton administration and I think someone is pretty close to exposing the whole story - and out of the gutter crawls Woodward and others!!!! Is it to divert attention for them.

"He asked me to keep him out of the reporting and I agreed to do that," Pincus said today.

The question is: Did Pincus keep Woodward out of his grand jury testimony?
Fitzgerald's case against Libby is toast. Burned toast, beyond saving.

" Woodward reportedly disclosed that a senior White House official told him about "

It's entertaining to see the sloppy, slipshod work of these self-worshipping journalists. Woodward says "high administration official" and the network boobs substitute "White House official."

Pincus conveniently forgot that Woodward told him that Wilson's wife, Plame, worked for the CIA.

"Everybody does in this business what they think is the right thing to do."

========================================================================

If he said that under oath, that would get him a perjury charge.

I keep wondering just when Andrea Mitchell will rush to a microphone to correct her correction about Plame's identity not being "common knowledge."

Mitchell looks terribly out of the loop on this one since her correction.

Imagine, Woodward and perhaps even others knew of Plame but not Andrea Mitchell - oh the shame of it.

NEW YORK Walter Pincus, the longtime Washington Post reporter and one of several journalists who testified in the Valerie Plame case, said he believed as far back as 2003 that Bob Woodward had some involvement in the case but he did not pursue the information because Woodward asked him not to.

That right there should make it clear to people that there was nothing to the story. If Woodward thought it had legs, and could take down the President, he would have been all over it like white on rice, because he desperately wants to re-live his Watergate glory days.
