McNeill and his partner of nearly 40 years, Charles Chiarelli, live in a trailer park in Hollywood, Fla.

In other words, his degenerate and disobedient life perfectly mirrors the demonic corruption of his theology.

Today McNeill says there are some things he is sorry about in his life, but not his alliance with Chiarelli, nor the deception that the breaking of his vows involved

The priest isn't sorry for breaking his vows by deception? What more do you need to know?

"In other words, his degenerate and disobedient life perfectly mirrors the demonic corruption of his theology."

Well said.

"Fr. McNeill," he said, "you saved my life!"

Actually, he helped damn your soul by turning you from the truth.

Ordained in 1959, he quickly discovered that the grace of the priesthood did not stem his sexual drive, and while continuing his studies in Europe, he began acting out his homosexual fantasies. “I searched out sexual encounters,”

He's a slave to his passions, not the Lord.

Bill softens bestiality statute - Massachusetts pols push measure lessening punishment for animal sex

Four state legislators in Massachusetts have introduced a bill that would soften the crime of bestiality, a move pro-family activists say is a natural progression of the state's legalizing same-sex marriage........

"They're all strongly endorsed by the state's three major powerful homosexual lobbying groups. … They're all Democrats. They're all vocal supporters of homosexual 'marriage' and whatever else the homosexual lobby bids them to do.......

"The bill would strike down several sections of the current penal code criminalizing adultery, fornication and the advertisement of abortion," the reported stated. "It also repeals what appears to be a sodomy statute forbidding 'abominable and detestable crime against nature, either with mankind or with a beast.'

"Archaic, indeed."

...and the coming era of the Holy Spirit. “I think we’re moving into
that era,” he said, and he sees the gay community as the vanguard.

So I guess that day of Pentacost event was just chopped liver???

Some theologian this guy is.

“Fr. McNeill,” he said, “you saved my life!”

Fr. McNeill missed the part about millstones.

If there is anyone in the wings to replace McNeill when the time comes, that person could be Daniel Helminiak, a 62-year-old psychotherapist and professor of psychology at the University of West Georgia.

I think I missed that verse about the therapists and professors shall lead them.

Gee, I wonder if this same thing happened in ancient Israel? The popular storytellers saying, "The dam has been broken." "I'm convinced we are free to worship Baal as we see fit." "Looks like smooth sailing from here on out!"

Helminiak, author of What the Bible Really Says About Sexuality, is convinced the old biblical, theological and psychological disputes have now been resolved in favor of gay and lesbian relationships; he calls the evidence “incontrovertible.”

Except for the Bible clearly stating that such individuals shall not inherit the kingdom of God. A minor point, apparently.

What part of "Man shall not lye with man as with woman. It is an abomination" does he not understand?

I've said it before: The Church has a LOT of work to do to clear out all this mess.

Sheesh--he prayed and felt that God "approved" of his decision to abandon his vow of celibacy (and abstinence, by default) and partake in the self-serving pleasure-seeking hedonism of homosexuality. This guy is a homosexual in every way--totally narcissistic, changes perceptions of morality to suit own interests... disgusting.

In 1942, he enlisted in the Army in what he describes as a government-sponsored hoax to nab 17-year-olds like himself with promises of a “specialized education program.”

His education turned out to be on the frontlines of battle...

Father John, you enlisted in the Army within months after Pearl Harbor. Unless you maxed out the aptitude test or you were some kind of child prodigy at languages or codes or something, where else exactly did you think you were going to go, you silly bugger?

>>He will be the principal listener to the people of God

Uh, the new testament is basically a collection of popes writing TO their wayward/deviating flocks - not listening to and compromising to their whims. Got it backward.

Right. You notice how he reached the depths of depression and prayed about it, and somehow, he "felt" that God was telling him his behavior was OK! Hooray for him! Kind of self-fulfilling, it seems. So he was, from then on he claims, unfettered by the guilt and shame he should have rightfully felt, because God assured him it was OK...how convenient...
