If we had no outside knowledge about what a human being designs, what our capabilities are, there wouldn't be a way to say that something was designed over it was the product of some natural process.

If we had no outside knowledge about what a human being designs, . . . But we're not dealing with "ifs" are we? We're dealing with scientific realties. It is a scientific reality that both intelligence and design can be scientifically identified, even intuitively.
