I see that you are a "glass half empty" type of person. I'm currently making more than I ever have in my life.

I averaged 250 a year in the 80's(I was in my late 20's to mid 30's). I lived on 50,000 spendable per year. At the end of every year, I bought a forclosure property. By age 45, I no longer needed to work, though I did.

Glad you are doing well, but many aren't. And they are getting fed up. I quote a friend of mine, "I have voted Republican my whole life, but it is looking like it is gettign a little to expensive for me, what with nafta and now cafta." As for me and the misses we are treading water so far.

CAFTA amd NAFTA are just a drop in the bucket. Both essentially put in place a more legal framework for what was going on in the past. Besides the CAFTA countries are SO SMALL that what little trade will be diverted to Central America will be imports that are currently coming from SE Asia or India.
Your post puts me in mind of all of those autoworkers and farmers I used to see on TV in the 1980s claiming the Reaganomics was "ruining the country" due to auto imports from Japan and agricultural imports from Latin America.
Your friend can vote for Mark Warner, Bill Richardson, or Hillary in the next election if he wishes. In our constitutional Republic, we have choices to make, whether in our careers or in politics.
