Woman gave high school boys drugs, booze at weekly parties

GOLDEN, Colorado (AP) -- A woman who authorities said had sex with high school boys during alcohol- and drug-fueled parties has been sentenced to 30 years in prison, officials said.

Silvia Johnson, 41, described herself to investigators as a "cool mom" who "was never popular with classmates in high school" and who was beginning to feel like one of the group.

She pleaded guilty in July to two misdemeanor counts of sexual assault and nine felony counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

I heard on Fox & Friends this morning that she would be eligible for parole after 10 years.

She got 11 charges. 9 of them are felonies.

This wench was having sex parties at her house and performing sex acts on prepubescent boys. If I remember, the police caught her with an 11-yo boy and two 14-yo girls.

It's OK for Schools to promote sex among children, but when a parent does it, it is 30 years in prison. Something is out of whack.

Many sentences are too short, but this one is too harsh.

Agreed. While I don't condone her behavior, thirty years seems excessive.

Jeeze, I hadn't heard this tidbit. Maybe 30 years isn't as excessive as I specutlated in the above post.

I have to agree. For as wacked out as this lady is, if she had killed one of these kids she'd be doing less time. I'd rather pay to keep a truly violent felon locked up, than some crazy old bat like this.

Add in the fact that while out on bail awaiting sentencing she allowed a 14 year old to drive a van with her a several other children. The 14 year old lost control of the van and critically injured the children. This woman deserves every day of her sentence. Every day.

"Was this woman not accepted as a teenager or something that is obsessed with being adored by teenagers?"

Bingo. During the trial, this was one of the things discussed. Cool Mom (and I'm still amused that monicker stuck) was not popular during high school and when her kids approached that age, she decided to make up for it.

Hmmm.. thanks.

One thing about the headline.
I think it is no accident, or attempt at wit.
I think it's just another attempt at legitimizing pedaphillia.
"Cool mom"
Gimmie a break.

Yes, in the article the woman say's she wanted to be a "cool mom", but does that warrant using a headline like that?

I would have used something like, "Mother gets 30years for sexually abusing children"

Am I reading too much into this?

For example, if someone had killed a black man, and this tard said he did it because he wanted to be "cool man", would the headline be "cool man" kills black man, or would it be "racist killing in so and so town"(the correct headline imo)?

Using peoples dillusions as headlines..

Just as an example.

I think this is a huge problem, culturally. However the downside is that BOTH previously popular folks and previously unpopular folks are letting their kids be "cool". The former, in order to relive their glory days, the latter, in order to live the glory days they never had in the first place.

I suspect the judge took that into consideration in handing out this sentence. She should have been a wee tad more cautious while awaiting sentencing.
