Oh we can enforce any laws you want on immigration, but it ain't going to matter. They can make fake ID, migrate from town to town and do a variety of methods to get around.

Have you ever picked crops?? I have. There are only so many jobs that machines can do, plus you have to have someone to run the machine. Where you go to find these people??

Yes, I have worked in many labor-intensive jobs in my younger years. I have nothing against a LEGAL pool of immigrant labor that is available to do these jobs, but the current system takes advantage of ILLEGAL immigrants who'll do anything to stay here, and shafts American workers who might do the job if it just paid a few dollars more (which it might also pay to the immigrants if they were here LEGALLY).

It simply skews the labor market for those who play (and immigrate) by the rules, and has many secondary social effects as well. Like trying to run a liquor store while boot-leggers sell booze and smokes on the street tax-free, and the cops won't crack down.
