None, but my wife owns one. (Excuse me) Yes dear. I'll be right there, dear.
Just 1. She's in the kitchen getting me a beer.
Let's call Welfare payments 'reparations'. I'd say we're even by now...
I'm a cat owner. I AM the slave.
Yeah right....I'm sure you deleted those words off your screen right after you typed them....before she got back...
History shows that the slave owners were not the poor US. citizen but the rich of Europe who owned the plantations.
I don't think "tired" is appropriate because it seems there are plenty of people who chase their tails if they even hear the word "racist." We barely have made a dent into liberalism (its dying on its own anyway) we haven't even begun to question its authority because we only chip away at the edges .
Yep, 4.5 TRILLION since the 1960s.
what once was a civil-rights movement has become a shakedown game.
Fred Reed is always a great read, and one of the few bloggers of whom I read every posting. He is a gifted writer. Though I don't always agree with Fred, I think he is on target with this one. Check out http://www.fredoneverything.net and browse his postings, usually about once every 2 weeks.
If at the time, slaves were considered property.. then when they were freed, the Federal Government was exercising eminent domain, were they not?
Therefore, former slave owners descendants deserve reparations more than former slaves descendants do!
Disclaimer: As Rush would say, I'm "demonstrating absurdity by being absurd."
Anyone that believes in reparations define themselves as slaves, and additionally mistake me and mine as the same.
None. And it's a sure bet that none of my American ancestors did either. My great-grandparents on both sides of my family emigrated to the U.S. with their children in the early 20th century. My father's side was from Ireland and my mother's side was from Sweden.
If there were any slaves in our families, they were voluntary and went by the official title of "husband" and the unofficial title of "honey-do."
ROFL!!!!!!
That's the major difference between dogs and cats. A dog thinks you're God because you bring him food and water, and a cat thinks she's God because you bring her food and water.
oh boy...
Toss in the cultural cost of lowering standards in everything for the benefit of blacks. See what I mean?
oh boy, oh boy...
I'd say it partly because it would be the right thing to do, and partly, because I'd like to add you guys to the tax base.
Aye yi yi....
You may not believe it, but I, and most whites, don't like seeing blacks as miserable and screwed up as they are.
great googly-moogly...
Few people still feel responsible for the failings and inadequacies of blacks.
ouch, ouch, ouch...
and the federal equal opportunity apparatus, which means blacks, wants to sue Silicon Valley for not hiring nonexistent black engineers.
oooooo.... that's gonna leave a mark....
For example, if you want blacks to work in Silicon Gulch, the best approach might be to find some really smart black guys, and get them to study digital design, not Black Studies. That's how everybody else does it.
This is certainly true... Well! That was... quite an essay!
