I love the Garden State (best diners in the world, great pizza, cool beaches), but, let's face it, it doesn't exactly produce the most honest politicians. Louisiana, however, is far worse.

Everytime I see people talking about how New Jersey is an "upscale" state, I show them that the folks in huge houses in Rumsen and Colts Neck are far outnumbered by the more humble folks in Essex, Hudson, and Union Counties.

Don't forget those big cemeteries in Essex County.

I'm not trying to say NJ politics is pure or anything, but these a-holes who come on these NJ threads mocking NJ corruption need to look past the drool running down their chins and check out their own back yards. My uncle worked for 20-plus years in Tennessee government and has assured me it's as corrupt as corrupt can be. I don't doubt it's like that most places. But we've had some embarassment lately and people like to make jokes about NJ, but it's just plain ignorance and nothing more.
