I added the link in the post for proof that many disabled children were exempt from NEAP teasting- 40% as a matter of fact. ( of course you won't find it in YOUR school- so you may have to look around a bit) Of course that didn't happen in your school- and as far as *drugging* a child be a fixation for me- well since I have worked with hundreds of disabled adults and children and children labeled ADD in I have an interest in it- more than half the children my son (age 7) interacts with are on drugs for *ADD* and since it is a National discussion now- there is plenty of information out there about the damage over medication children has done. Of course that hasn't been done in YOUR school.

If you looked at your own link, you would see that students were exempted from only one test. They are not exempt from tests that are used for NCLB purposes.

BTW, I would love to know why you insist on making this personal with comments such as "YOUR school" and they way "YOU" do it. This is just a conversation--not a way to score points off of each other. Of course I can only comment on what is done in my school and district. To do otherwise would be irresponsible on my part. For some reason though, you want to take your experiences and nationalize them, something I have very carefully kept from doing.

Take a deep breath, relax, it's just a conversation.
