The subject is whether the Catholic Cardinal is correct in his interpretation of Genesis, and whether it is accepted as Catholic doctrine.

Your point about Father. Despite whether calling one's sperm donor father is correct or not, it still does not justify the Catholic Church's adopting a title that Christ explicitly said don't.

You better check out the writings of Paul then...it seems he violated your personal interpretation of Jesus's words.

You see...it's all about interpretation.

I think you failed to read my post.

Please refer back to Paul calling himself the father of church x or y. Christ instructed us to call the Lord as our Father (Father in Heaven) and then said "call no man your father" i.e. "call no man your heavenly Father" not "call absolutely no man "father" in any sense of the word."

See post 110. There are a lot of Catholics, and even more evangelicals, who are absolutely ignorant of the Church's stance on evolution. The church, from the 1950s on has stated that evolution deserves more study and is not in conflict with the faith.... and may be even before that, but I know for fact it was written in the 1950s.

Catholicism is not evangelicalism. Catholicism does not believe that every word of the old testament is absolute literal fact and never has. Anyone who believes such is ignorant of Catholicism.

Despite your thinking you know what Christ explicitly said, and despite your interpretation of what you think Christ said, it still does not justify you offending me with your anti Catholic bigotry.

Go ahead miss the point. Misdirection does not make a good response.
