The sad thing is that behind closed doors the French have already wised up to the disaster in their midst...The problem is they lack either the ability or the testosterone to do anything about it.

They invited these Islamalunies into their country and now they can't get rid of them without risking their ultra liberal/socialists/communist reputation.

The French are so so screwed...and we will be joining them soon enough if we don't get a handle on our own borders.

An English friend who is planning to retire to France told me that in those parts of France where there has been no rioting, many Frenchmen have guns and are quite prepared to use them to defend their own property. He claims that when there was a "refugee camp" in Northern France, the locals used to take potshots at wandering "refugees". So maybe it's not hopeless, after all.

And garyhope--I agree with you. The lost of France --with all her faults--would be disastrous. Losing Chirac and de Villepin, on the other hand, could be the silver lining in this cloud.

It's like common sense has been totally abandoned or forgotten in my lifetime.

It seems like Western civilization has a suicide wish.
