know...what a shame our talents are not getting their fair shake today

Ah my friend, Talents is far too small a word for what we have brought forth today. A pity the fruits of our genius will never be seen by this small minded southern philistine with his 800 fetish.

I thought they found a mass grave but it only contained 1500 or so .. not the 100,000 Clinton told the public was the reason for going there in the first place. So Clinton lied and MANIPULATED THE INTEL

As a recall it, he said they were 100,000 civilians, and it turned out to be 1500, of which 80% of them had on military uniforms. The real blunder though was his military tactic; he was so dumb, the side that Clinton chose to protect were heroin drug runners funded by Al Quieda. He went to war to protect Al Quieda.

Way late response, but I had company and I am still on dial up. Larry Sabato should be embarrassed by his predictions. I think Larry's rug is too tight and is blocking the blood flow to his brain. He does not even sound realistic anymore. Does everyone remember how this weenie was totally confident that Kerry would win. What a yutz!

Well .. I thought the Church Commission happened before Clinton was in office

The Church Commission produced damage. However, as an Executive Branch outfit the total damage that could be dones was at least limited because, after all, our branches of Govt do have some balance of power. It was not until the ideological children of the Church Commission got into the agency command positions, (during the Clinton Admin) that the real fundamental damage was done. Most things in Govt are evolutionary, not revolutionary. The Left had to move their ideological foot soldiers into the command points before they could do the real fundamental damage to the Agency. Bill Clinton gave them that command. Either as an intellectual fellow traveler or as an good old boy slime bag politician more interested in the fruits of power then it's use, Bill Clinton did damage to US Government that will probably never be wholly cleansed.

As to arguing, I am not. I just ask you to clarify a statement which you made. I obviously hit a couple of nerves which was not my quest. I did not realise I was communicating with a Christian more enlightened than others that believe in him. Cults are very deceptive but so are Christians who professed to be better than others. They do more harm to his word than those that do not believe. It is wise to know the difference.

Rodguy, the staffs stay and rotate as I understand it. They will work for one congressman and if they're good many will move to other congressmen who pay more or who are more important. In fact, it was a hoot in 1995 when the Democrats lost control. They had to start letting people go. LOL

I was referring to individual staff members but I would assume committee staff members consist of many of the same people as well.

Church Committee Reports

These 14 published reports of the Church Committee contain a wealth of information on the formation, operation, and abuses of U.S. intelligence agencies. They were published in 1975 and 1976, after which recommendations for reform were debated in the Congress and in some cases carried out.

I already told you .. I don't have anything I need to clarify. And .. your smarmy comments and condescending tone don't cut it with me either.

The Branch Dividians were a CULT! They were not a CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION.

I cannot be more clear than that!! And .. my discussion about it is over.

The nerve you hit was accusing me of saying something that I did not say. That by the way is "bearing false witness" in case you're interested.

I thought Rocky's statement that he was NOT RESPONSIBLE for his vote was the damnist thing I ever saw... Wallace walked him into it and made sure that he was precise in what he was asking and Rockefeller said "no"... then said that he didn't know what he was doing... and he knows what he is doing now? How do such people get elected over and over again?

Well .. I did get the numbers correct at least. I had forgotten that most of them were in uniform. I knew the Muslims were drug runners.

I believe this little stunt by Clinton was when the terrorists knew they had Clinton on a downhill run. He would not fight them and he was helping them kill others. A perfect setup to hit us.

I'm going to let you have the last word since you are a better Christian than I could hope to attain. As to false witness, you are the one professing to read what is in one heart, I am not. Sorry to have made you so angry but pings to the conscience does have a habit of doing that. You win since I do believe in turning the other cheek.

Torricelli Amendment came later. I haven't found a solid citation or link; but the gist of the TOrricelli Amendment was to limit the type of person that the CIA was permitted to use for HUMINT.
