I'm just now seeing Ken Mehlman on Little Timmy's show.
WOW! Ken is the smartest guy in the room.
No wonder the Screaming Blue Messiah didn't want to go on stage with him.

My neighbor is in the printers union. Same thing going on there but he's almost to retirement age and knows the truth.
I think your husband is like many people, he's the result of this constant criticism and attacks by the Democrats.
Since Republicans generally support smaller government, is there any wonder that anyone connected with a union or a government job isn't being subjected to fear tactics as the Democrats claim Republicans are going to take away their income? All through the Regan era, there were claims that he was 1) growing government and the national debt by increasing spending, yet 2) he was destroying government jobs.
Either that or the obituary for Old Media. Conservatives realize we are not alone anymore. From my college years forward, everything I was subjected to leaned to the left. There were times I wondered if "I" was the only one thinking conservative thoughts or supporting conservative solutions to issues. Except for a few magazines there was no outlet I could turn to that would support my beliefs. (I remember debating whether Time or Newsweek was better because it was more conservative.)
I doubt anyone ten or fifteen years ago thought the influence of New Media, including blogs, talk radio and the emerging conservative press would have the impact it has today. Liberal radio is failing, except for a few local talk shows, newspapers around the country are losing revenue from subscribers and advertisers, union and Democrat phone networking and personal pressuring is not as effective as it once was. Even in book publishing, conservative political books are outselling liberal books by a large majority.
FOX News began as "fair and balanced" and was immediately labeled conservative because it dared to air conservative viewpoints in a fair manner. FOX never claimed to be conservative but they didn't have a reason to counter the claim too strongly because their ratings skyrocketed. Conservatives were starved for a place to get news that wasn't so totally biased and one sided.
You may still be right in the return of Old Media, but I hope not.
I agree with you. I remember reading about the staff reductions forced on the Democrats in 1995 after the Republicans became the majority. Amid all that chaos, the GOP messed up by allowing larger staffs in DC for Democrats than Republicans had before the change. I also believe many displaced Democrats moved over to the special interest groups there so they could continue to influence policy.

Additionally, I remember necessary being a word used by Democrats as they were bargining with Republicans on staff size. Not in individual offices, but mainly on committees.
My flag is the State of Maryland flag.
You can click on the flag of any Freeper's home page and it will be identified. You can add yours easily to your home page, if you want to.
I'm sure that a lot of people were rounded up because of their relationship with her. She was found in an Iraqi "safe house."
I just heard on Fox news that about 200,000 Iraqis live in Jordan.
NOOOO!!
Sounds like he may have been a weak candidate.
UHHhhh, no!! I will be in the Keys fishing or working where I belong in the Winter.
Stop with that stuff. I have to look it up every time.

Gosh, now I feel really dumb....after many visits to Baltimore for my Gettysburg trips & never noticed your flag! Those trips were sort of "country come to town" for me, my little island does not have history to compare with your area! Thanks for the info re clicking on the flag.....seems every day there is something new to learn here :)
I am getting ready to see who is in for Tony. I do like John. I am like you - some of Rush's subs I like, some I don't. I do like Roger - sometimes he focuses too much on CA.
