Re the Iraqi bomber
I believe that Zarqari had already claimed that she was one of the bombers, and she was on video in the hotel room.
Not much wiggle room!

However, I now have a trnscript! Another FReeper gave a link to the congressional records, and there it was - 60 minutes of truth!!
Maybe I should post it so more people could finally read it? It's hot! And .. I can see why C-SPAN buried it.

I didn't know that Zarqari had already claimed that she was one of the bombers....let's hope she talks them right to him!
Doesn't it seem odd to you that the Jordanians have her on tv? I'm trying to remember any other terrorist whose "confession" has been put out this way.

He probably absorbed a lot of the staffers who went to a special "job fair" on Capitol Hill last December.
I am sure that "average" Americans would be shocked and stunned at the annual budget for Congressional Staff.

Perhaps to prove to the world that she is alive and unharmed.

"Perhaps to prove to the world that she is alive and unharmed."
Besides AlQueda & their sympathizers, who would care? And wouldn't a photo and her saying her name suffice?
The only thing that makes sense is they are putting her out as a warning or a threat.
If she is to be a warning....then her family has already been rounded up and will share her punishment.
If she's to be a threat, she will have a speedy trial & public execution.
ps: what is the flag on your page?

Able Danger timeline
HERE from WaPo, in case you haven't seen it. I've heard about the Stanford/ChiCom alleged links, but I've never seen this supposed historical piece. Would be interested in your thoughts.

Good night all it was lot of fun, see ya on tony or rush. Both of them are out this week - Tony, for "followup" surgery, and Rush, on vacation. Godspeed and blessings to both.

Dean refuses to be on together with Mehlman! How funny, when it should be the other way around but for the pubbie's class.

There is little value or validity in polls that have loaded questions designed to solicit a particular response AND polling MORE dems than reps. I discount all of them. Rush has said something similar to the following, which is a different way of what you said: Polls are taken to MAKE public opinion, not to reflect it.

President Bush should make primetime speeches monthly. He has the bully pulpit and should use it. It seems to be the only way of getting his message across to everyone. And I could only wish that he would have a little "somethin' somethin" in next year's SOTU speech, for those "congresscritters" who heckled him in this year's SOTU speech.

Don't mind me. I'm still trying to get over Clinton sending Marines to Haiti and then turning them back when confronted by thugs on the pier with clubs. Was this the infamous "Operation Just Kidding"?
