Wow, this thread is a blast from the past. I loved Cap. I’ll keep my eyes open for that one.
Target Corp. will do whatever it takes to maintain a P&L that has more P than L as a profiting business enterprise.
Regulation and denouncement is left to people who, in a democratic republic, via government.
Right?
3 girls, 4 boys - and an ultrasound tomorrow to determine what brand the next one is.
While we do live in NY - we are upstate and it is more affordable. But it IS NY afterall, and is difficult paying NY taxes, especially with the PA border within sight from our house.
Our kids definitely wear hand-me-downs.
The culture is definitely designed for 2 kid families, but we adjust as best as we can.
People can afford a lot more than they think. It is a matter of priorities. We are lower middle class. I stay at home and educate our kids so we are raising our family on one income. It’s not very high, either. We don’t have nice furniture. We have a nearly 100 year old home. We don’t have cable let alone a big screen TV. My husband drives a 14 year old truck.
We often find ourselves in financial difficulties but God always manages to get extra money to us when we really need it. It’s usually barely enough to cover whatever crisis we were in but we manage. Pinch a little tighter here and there. We eat a lot of rice and beans!
I hate the “we can’t afford it” excuse. If we had waited until we could “afford” children we never would have had them.
Congratulations to the soon to be addition to your family, whatever brand it may be! :o)
“I hate the we cant afford it excuse. If we had waited until we could afford children we never would have had them.”
amen to that.
La di da.
I am VERY happy to hear about you and your wonderful family. I wholeheartedly agree that if you wait until “the right time” for children, you will likely not have them.
Has it been established yet that Plan B acts as abortifacient?
