Islamabad: Tension prevailed near the eastern city of Lahore where an angry mob set ablaze three churches, Christian schools and residence of the local bishop, following reports that a youth allegedly desecrated the Holy Quran.
Around fifty protestors were arrested and dozens injured in a baton-charge by police personnel when the mob went on a rampage following reports that one Yousuf Masih had allegedly burnt a large number of copies of the Holy Quran last night in Sangla Hill locality, Pakistan's NNI news agency quoted eye witnesses as saying.
Masih, who was reportedly caught by the locals, later escaped.

All it takes is a rumor. And there are plenty of manipulating scum willing to start or to spread rumors.
Never travel to Islamabad.
The true face of Islam is easy to show, just start a rumor about an insult and the animals react like mindless savages.
The religion of TERROR.
Which is why we need rebirth of hinduism and buddhism in Pakistan and zorasthraism in Iran.
Dogar said the allegations were apparently leveled by people who lost money while gambling with the Christian man on Friday
Religion of TERROR -- dead on with that remark.
Lahore is one of the biggest and most modern cities in Pakistan.
Lahore has more than its share of jihadists, who are always upset that Hindu India is close by.

Two observations; one they hate India for her wealth and religion. Second, these people are largely illiterate. The koran is a fool's book. Written by a fool to be read and lived out by fools.
This was evidently just as true in the nineteenth century, when Muslim mobs in India would explode any time someone spread a rumor, and start killing Hindus more or less at random.
"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property; either as a child, a wife, or a concubine; must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen; all know how to die; but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome."
Sir Winston Churchill, from The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pages 248 50 (London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1899
Can't be any more correct than Churchill was.
Only thing I would say to Churchill, if I had the chance, is that Christianity didn't struggle against science. Christianity was the foundation stone for the development of science and technology in the West, because Christianity declares that the universe is fundamentally rational (based on the Logos). Also Christianity in most of its forms insists that through God's grace, man has free will and the ability to choose.
Those are the fundamental differences between Christianity and Islam. Islam allows no freedom of the will. Allah is totally arbitrary. There is no rationality or freedom built into the Muslim universe.
