Jon Corzine Hints He May Appoint NJ's First Woman Senator Why? Did Frank Lautenberg die? Is he going to step down so a younger incumbent can run when his term is up?

I love it! I can see all the jaws dropping from the white males and the one light Hispanic male when they read that article, LOL.
Remember, when the disgraced robert torricelli resigned from the Senate race their short list included 9 white males, (pallone, menendez, andrews, lausenberg and bill bradley come to mind) not one minority or one female, so much for the all-inclusive demoRat party. They chose lausenberg to run. And now corzine maybe will choose a black female. It's going to be an interesting 4 years.

naming the first woman and minority from New Jersey to the U.S. Senate.Ooooo. The democrat white elitist in the Senate won't like this move at all! If she's black, they'll have a fit (where no one can see them), because it'll show the black voting base they CAN get out of their democrat cages and move up in the world with everyone else.
Will the democrats attack her like they did Colin Powell, Condaleeza, and all the other brilliant minds that have made themselves a success in this country?
Corzine is playing with democrat fire here!

Beware the Ides of March, Caesar Corzine.
Actually, she's an effective assemblywoman from what I've heard, I don't know how that will translate to a shortened appointed Senate term. NO better reception within her circles than the daughter from Alaska received within her circles, I would hazard to guess.
Waters and McKinney are going to be scared of this one, Gil is nothing if not an intelligent, focused political animal who has worked her way through the halls of Trenton rather effectively.
In short:
Anti-gun
stricter domestic abuse laws
stricter laws for 3rd degree felonies
she has been a shill for NJ big pharma
she has worked on targeted tax cuts to help her constituents
that's all I know, I'm sure more will come out if she is seriously considered.
(She was born March 15, 1948)

We already have one. Lautenberg is an extraordinarily capable woman.
