O'Reilly's comments were over the top, but nothing compared to voter approval of Proposition I.

I lived in San Francisco and I am 100% sure that Chris Daly is mentally retarded. Daly is one of the reasons that city smells like piss and sh*t.

Media Matters got this ball rolling, and I will bet you a steak dinner they took it completely out of context.

Translation: how dare you identify the obvious unintended
consequences of our fair city's blatently anti-American
posture.

Actually, it would be very fitting for the DOD to immediately close all recruiting offices, and every military installation in and around San Fran. Then watch Nancy Pelosi have a hissy-fit...

I tolerated Oreilly sometimes because he said out loud on his show, a lot of what I am thinking .
Then I saw his interview (love fest) with Mary Mapes and decided Bill O'Reilly is just another hack.

San Francisco is still an American city (well barely), and any bomb going off would be a victory for the terrorists. I agree O'Reilly's comments were over the top.

What we all know on this forum: Liberalism doesn't work in practice or in principle. And when some of their policies get shown the light of day, this becomes even more clear and evident.

Good for O'Reilly for properly attacking anti-Americanism in San Francisco.
The media and the leftists need more of this. A lot more.

San Francisco can't keep U.S. military recruiters out of the city. Several States already tried seceding from the Union. Didn't work, as I recall. But as history is no longer being taught, it's not surprising that the people of San Francisco don't know this.
To: Anti-Bubba182
I don't think that San Fran needs the military for protection anyway. They have a police force, and they'd be the line of defense against a terrorist attack, not military patrols. However, I'm sure S.F. would scream bloody murder at the loss of jobs if the feds pulled all DoD work out of the city. That's what would hurt them most, the damage to their tax base. You can't run a socialist paradise without lots of high-paid workers to loot tax.

Ah yes, O'Loudmouth the hypocrite. Having a Michael Savage moment. Trying to become a beat-the-chest conservative to regain his audience.
Stick to being a Rockefeller populist, BOR.

While Bill O'Reilly is over the top I do know that the comments were taken out of context. He was on Armstrong & Getty this morning and explained what he said and in what context. As usual, the SF Comical grabbed a bit of an entire show and turned it into a sound bite.
His comments were along the lines of "if" not "should" for starters. Then he said that he had been trying to get the Mayor of SF, Gavin Newsome, to come onto The Factor for years and he won't do it. O'Reilly asked A&G if they had ever had Newsome on their show and they laughed and said that Newsome doesn't like them either. Go figure, he won't go on any show where they won't softball him.
At this point in time, I have to agree with Mr. O'Reilly. You don't want to support the US Military - don't expect them to step up to the plate when you are in trouble.

I think that the good God fearing people that still live in S.F. ought to think of moving. For the longest time I've been getting the strangest feeling that some terrible event, (natural or man made) is going to occur there. I hope I'm wrong, but my intuition is usually right.

Nothing different from those pacifist old European countries (Spain, France, Belgium, Holland),to stay aside while the U.S. keeps fighting this world war on terror.
It's just a matter of time before explosions go off to sway infidels to cave in.
Contributions for defense, not in my backyard or in S.F.
It's called intellectual aloofness.

Sorry, San Francisco, but Mr. O'Reilly is totally right (pun intended!) about this. Small wonder why I haven't visited San Francisco in quite a while and don't intend to anytime soon, so there.
