By now you've probably read the varying reviews of Jarhead, the new movie that purports to be about the Marine Corps and the first Persian Gulf War. Based on the memoir of the same name by Anthony Swofford, both the movie and book bear only a superficial resemblance to anything real. First, the book. Third-generation enlistee Swofford joined the Marines to escape a dysfunctional family, but unfortunately he brought a lot of that dysfunction into the Corps. In the end, he dishonored the uniform he wore.

I know and I did.. Eddie Murphy would have been better.. a better actor.. basically a Stevie Wonder impression.. The award was given to RAY, not Jaime.. Jaime was adaquate though.. many better performances were passed over.. So it is in Hollywierd, Moonbats makeing moonbat decisions..
I wish I hadn't seen it! I should have known that the only war movie that Hollywood would produce during the Bush years would be an anti-military, anti-American film. (Mel Gibson's is an exception because he has his own company and doesn't depend on the Hollywood crowd to produce it)
And you were surprised by it sucking? LOL I figured it was going to suck when I first saw the ads for it.
In Soviet-occupied Hollywood, no movie about the USMC can get the green light unless it's written as a smear-job from the very start.
And they have the nerve to cry "Internet piracy!" when their revenues drop another point? Maybe it's because they put out one too many LOUSY MOVIES.
Actually, fish look at people and wonder if they know they're dry.
