There is nothing I love better than a pissed off Second Amendmet Sister!
It is unfortunate that her aim was not true.
I'm shopping for one myself.
Meanwhile in San Fran-sicko, relatives would be grieving over a woman's unnecessary death and liberals would be drafting Propisition K to ban knife ownership.
As an everyday carry gun, I'd recommend the Kel-Tec P32. It's not huge firepower, but it's lightweight and tiny -- easy to keep in a handbag sidepocket, or even in the pocket of your running shorts if you go running. The only gun that's going to save you is the one you have with you when the need arises. And as the story at the top of this thread shows, criminals don't usually stick around to check the caliber of your gun once they discover you have one.
"She failed to hit the man"
Awwwwwww, too bad, but thank God she's safe.
God made man, but Sam Colt made them equal.
Meanwhile, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has initiated a crackdown on traffic violations. The department spokeswoman pointed out that two years ago police had pulled over a suspected murderer as he was fleeing the scene of the crime and turned right at a red light despite a clearly marked "No Right on Red" sign. The suspect was given a traffic citation and his whereabouts are still unknown.
I haven't looked at that one. So far I've leaned towards this Walther:

I've used the one on the left with an extension added at the bottom. With it, my pinkie fits perfectly...kind feels like it was made for my hand. It's also a good size. Don't run, though, so that's not an issue. But I'm at home a lot.
I'll look at the one you mentioned.

Char-Meck PD is a joke.
I agree :)

If you're lokking for something to use at home, buy a shotgun. You won't miss, and you'll knock them down with one shot. A 9mm or .40 might not be enough to stop some meth-head.
bump
True! I've got one at my in-law's camp, but haven't brought it here.
I looked at the Kel-Tec....just think it may be a little small.
I ran in to that with the small Glock. My hand is long...by the time my fingers get around...the thing felt lost in there! It just felt uncomfortable.
TAke a look at the Glock models 19 and 26 with night sights
And get a good light for the 19 (surefire S200B S11 Switch)
This would make a great nightstand pistol setup....imo
Get as quality a pistol as you can afford..but get one with a record for reliability...
Get good instruction regardless and buy plenty of ammo
because you will not "Rise to the occasion..as much as you
will default to your level of training"...
If you're not concerned about bulk and are sill intersted in a 9mm, take a serious look at the Ruger P-89. I had one a few years back. It was inexpensive, easy to maintain, and extremely reliable, and Ruger is an excellent company to deal with. If it breaks, they will usually fix it for free or cheap, no matter how old it is.
