"Stewart's remark is flatulent," Donohue says. "If Wal-Mart had a 'Holiday' section on its website that directed customers to its Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa sites, that would not be objectionable." You know, I really hope the use of this word is because of an error in transcription by WND, and not because Donahue actually used it.
The correct word would be fatuous.

flatÃÂ÷uÃÂ÷lent (flÃÂãch'ə-lənt) adj.
1. Of, afflicted with, or caused by flatulence.
2. Inducing or generating flatulence.
3. Pompous; bloated.
The last one works for me, Miss M. :)

Being familiar with Bill Donohue, I would say he used the word he meant to use: flatulent which can mean pompous or bloated.
