I keep in contact with a kid who rode with my sportbike group. He enlisted and has been in the thick of it in Iraq. I got news of the death of his Platoon Sergeant today. SFC Cashe. He was in a vehicle that was hit by an IED. He got out unharmed, not a scratch on him. He realized some of his men were still trapped inside the APC and he went in to get them out. He got them out but at a terrible cost. He suffered severe burns. He hung on for a month but the damage to his body was to great and he succumbed to his wounds. He was a good man and a warrior. Godspeed, Sergeant. Godspeed.
I put together this small tribute to him and all our fallen. Click on the picture.

What We Are About To Do Here Is What The Good Lord Would Call A Cleansing of the Wicked. I Call It A Good Old Fashioned Texas Ass Kicking.

God bless his soul, he died for the greatest of all causes.
God bless and protect all our brave troops.

Not that this is his family's priority, but if your heroic story is accurate, this is certainly the stuff for which MOH awards were created. I hope Congress so honors this SGT.
