I live in PA - it just isn't that conservative a state. More than NJ and NY but far less than Tx, for example. Specter is more representative of PA than Santorum.

I moved to PA almost 3 years ago from Cape Cod, Mass & at first I believed I was actually living in a red state (anything would be better than Mass)but the longer I live here, the more I'm disappointed

Pennsylvania is a socially conservative state, both Democrats and Republicans, despite the MontCo libs.

Sounds logical. I would guess that as Philadelphia grows so does liberalism. As a former Long Islander we faced the same problem as more people fled NYC they brought their liberalism with them. I hardly recognized conservative LI after a while.
