Suicide bombers detonated explosives at three international hotels in Amman, Jordan's capital city. So far the death toll stands at about 53 people and with scores of wounded. Unfortunately, the causality figures may be amended as events unfold.
According to witnesses, there have been explosions at the Radisson, the Grand Hyatt, and a Day's Inn motor hotel. All three are located in Amman. Two of the blasts were caused by suicide bombers with explosives strapped to their bodies. The third was perpetrated by a bomber in a vehicle containing explosives. Police believed earlier that the Radisson blast had been caused by a bomb placed in a false ceiling.
At 9 PM Jordanian time, the Jordanian people were shocked by the simultaneous bomb blasts. The fact that these were coordinated attacks at three separate locations would appear to indicate Al-Qaeda or a Wahhabi group allied with Al-Qaeda. But no group or groups have claimed responsibility as yet.
Jordan's King Abdullah, a staunch ally of the United States, blamed a "deviant and misled group" for the attacks in his released statement. "The attacks targeted and killed innocent Jordanian civilians," he said.
There are reports that Westerners and Israelis were checked into the Radisson hotel, but figures on those casualties are still unknown.
While this horror takes place in Jordan, rioting in France enters its second week, and Somali terrorists attack US cruise ships, there are politicians in the United States who are more concerned over where we are treating captured terrorists and where these secret facilities are located. There are politicians who are more concerned over interrogation tactics which our soldiers, intelligence officer and law enforcement officials employ to get terrorist thugs to talk and hopefully provide information that will save American lives and others around the world.
While terrorist bombers continue to inflict death and suffering upon innocent people, our political leaders in Washington, DC are carping about some CIA bureaucrat having her name leaked to the media, even though witness after witness after witness including a decorated US Army General tell us that it was the "victim's" husband who told them his wife worked for the CIA. There are political leaders who are calling for commission after commission after commission in the hopes they can hurt other political leaders, while ignoring those things that would actually make Americans safer.
While bodies lay in city streets throughout the world, we have political leaders who seek to score brownie points as they pontificate about national security while behind the scenes they work to undermine our military, our intelligence operatives, and our police. They do this with the help of news organizations who enjoy an aura of non-partisanship when in actuality they shovel liberal, anti-war talking points on Americans on a daily basis. The problem is too many Americans still believe these terrorist enablers in the news media.
While the terrorists plot and plan attacks, gather weapons and build explosive devices, our leaders in Washington, DC are busy trying to discredit the Commander-in-Chief with anything they can find. If he doesn't act as they believe he should, they attack. If he takes action, they attack And they attack anyone who attempts to protect the American people, whether they be police chiefs, mayors or governors.
In New York, for instance, the left-wingers dispatched the ACLU to stop police officers from performing anti-terror measures such as random bag checks. Our political leaders and their minions in the media, in left-wing organizations and in groups representing ambulance-chasing lawyers comb the nation seeking examples of that horror of horrors -- racial profiling. Our Supreme Court and the liberals are attempting to give due process rights citizens enjoy in the United States to terrorists and enemy combatants.
And polls show these political leaders are gaining the support of a majority of Americans. We've had our wake up calls. It may be Americans aren't asleep, they're just comatose.

The left puts party above country. If these were "Bill Clinton's prisons" there would be no talk of human rights abuses. Just look at the way they ignored Waco, Elian, and that guy who was castrated in Arkansas by some thugs (and was innocent of the crime he was accused of). Remember the quote from the Clinton innauguration "those are OUR planes now"?

I had to turn off the tube this morning because the mediaWHORES are soooo infatuated with the Libby scandal, trying so hard to indict Cheney, that the bombings in Jordon have already been pushed to the side because of their HATRED for this Administration! Frankly, I've had it!! They are so transparent, I pray to God Almighty the American folk having awoken and see what anti-American the presstitutes are! The sheeples are so easily bewitched!
If we have another terrorist attack in the US the first thing we need to do is round up every media member and throw them into camps, because they are surely as guilty as the terrorists. They have consistantly enabled them and they endanger us all.

You have to remember that nearly 50% of the country is democrat. Of that 50%, half of them are rabid libs. To a rabid lib, there is NOTHING more important than bringing down Bush. NOTHING.
My brother is a rabid lib. I'm conservative, but no one would ever confuse me for a Bush-bot. Every single time I see my brother, the first thing out of his mouth is something about Bush. It's gotten so bad, I barely see or speak to him anymore. That is the degree of venom the left has for President Bush.

The White House must speak out loudly, strongly, repetitively. Stop worrying about being welcome at liberal cocktail parties and start defending Americans from Islamofascists and the lying leftists who enable them.

We're in the same boat! My brother is heavily involved in the DEMONicrat party here and I can't stand to visit mom when he is there! His preaching about how EVERYTHING is BUSH'S FAULT gets tiresome! I'm sick of defending President Bush when he himself doesn't do any thing to rebuke or stand up against the lies of the EVIL RATS. Don't know how much longer I can keep defending W from my relatives and friends...it sure is getting awful difficult! The strain VD lies the presstitutes are spreading is becoming more and more difficult to remedy! :(
Speaking of the media, some clown yesterday on CNN (I think it was during the Abrams Report or some such show) tried real hard to get the field correspondent to agree that Israel had prior knowledge of the attacks because Jordanian authorities evacuated some from one of the hotels beforehand.
The exchange went something like this, after the field correspondent said that some Israelis were evacuated -
In studio guy - "So it sounds as if the Israelis had some advance warning."
FC - "They were evacuated by Jordanian authorities."
ISG - "Yes but that must mean that the Israelis had some indication of an imminent attack."
FC - "Or that the JORDANIANS had knowledge of a specific threat against the Israelis."
It was quite transparent. No doubt he thought that the Israelis were tipped off by the same guy who tipped off all the Jews in the WTC. < /rolling eyes >
My father, who use to be a staunch Republican until the Monica Lewinsky scandal, tries to get me to argue with him about how bad Bush and the Republicans are and I just tell him that I will not argue with him because things may be said that neither of us can take back. And that is pretty much the way I have to leave it. I have found that friends of my dad don't speak with him as much because of his views. And that is just unfortunate for him.
Sadly, it will take another incident on the scale of 9/11 before the brain dead morons who populate this country wake up.
I agree with you. I am getting really sick of this. What are senators doing? bogus herings on successful oil companies, another law to outlaw torture which is already illegal. They are just grandstanding while the left just repeats ad infinitum the same erroneous charges. All this he said, she said coverage never chooses truth over lies, and I have noticed that it is making me grouchy. I discontinued my TV when both sides were calling each other Fascists, and I am considering doing it again.
Must have been the benefits.....
