The methodology has gotten quite sophisticated. I got myself invited into one of the companies and watched how they operate. They identify the "trend makers" in a group and get them talking about it or the same person might talk to themselves via different names.

Well, in Western Civilization for the past 1700 or so years we had this little "holiday" called "Christmas." In the Catholic and Western European traditions, Christmas has always fallen on December 25. Every year. On that day, gifts are exchanged, etc.

Now, on that same date (what a coincidence), a general non-offensive sort of "holiday" takes place in which, (again, by astonishing coincidence) people exchange gifts, etc.

I wonder if the new holiday that is celebrated on December 25 has a name, or is it just called "the holiday."
