[I would propose that the GOP bashing be reserved for those 15 or so Republicans in the House who are declining to support the leadership and the great majority of the party. Also, Senator Domenici of New Mexico says he fully intends to get the provision back into the bill at conference. Then the House vote on the conference bill will be the time to twist arms, and I'm sure the Hammer will be willing to help.]

The GOP is largely a group of worthless liberal politicians (rino's,moderates, republicrats)who are going further left daily. They do not represent conservative values and are departing from constitutional liberties guarantied by the our founding forefathers, largely Christians.
Under Christ, this nation prospered. Now, it has chosen to destroy itself.
So be it.

I suspect that any one of us Freepers could list the names from memory. We know who the RINO's are.

Now it is time for our President to live up to the job as our Champion and LEAD!

Why don't they cut the pork spending instead? They can easily find the money for this project then.

I don't think its an issue with the cost of the Arctic drilling proposal. The proposal to drill was put in the budget proposal in order to make it filibuster proof, since you can't filibuster the budget. Drilling will be done by private industry, not the government.

this is the price we all pay because the white house does such a piss poor job of communication

the leftist press holds all the hilltops and the barrage of lies rains down on all our heads

and the white house says nothing

and the white house does nothing

so what's a scum-bag RINO to do, argue with the leftists all by himself?

It should have been part of the energy bill and the two items stressed in the grilling of oil execs was access and regulation reforms. Couldn't Bush sign an executive order?

"The GOP is DEFINITELY going to hell in a Marxist handbasket."

I agree as well. Most of them are about as useless as the Democraps in the house. I think they prefer to follow, not lead. I think the revolution of 1994 has totally sputtered out.

We were speaking of the House, correct?

No, we were speaking of the House and Senate combined - Additionally in plenty of Blue States the DEM's have the overall congressional delegates coming from those States -

Furthermore on the whole great progress has been made since GWB has been in office. He has moved America and the World in the right direction. This has been greatly helped because the GOP (RHINO's and all) are in control of both chambers.

Lastly, I think it is somewhat foolish (at times) for the base to get so overblown upset at the GOP leadership about RHINO's who come from States that GWB couldn't even carry!.

If someone like GWB (one of the most popular Republicans ever with the base...in terms of support) can't get enough votes to carry States like WI, NJ, WA, OR, VT, MA, MI, IL, etc, etc - How do we expect a lesser type true conservative to win an election in those said States?? - We can't, and therefore at times we have to swallow hard and take the RHINO that will at least conference with the GOP majority.

Where we can put more pressure on these RHINO's we most certainly should. I am in full agreement here. But we can't simply scream and yell that the GOP is awful, etc, etc because in reality it is the BASE in these Blue States that can't get a true conservative / non-RHINO elected.

Regards,

For all the heavy lifting CONSERVATIVES do to elect Republicans of all ideological stripes, the sacrifice of time and money so far isn't worth it.

Absolute intellectual hogwash (with all due respect) - For way too many reasons to list - And plenty of others on here, myself included have already listed the great number of true accomplishments that have taken place over the last 5 years.

At the current time I do not have the time to re-list all of them - But your notion that having the GOP in control has not been worth it so far, that having GWB in office has not been worth it so far is utterly wrong.

We do NOT have conservative leadership. We have two parties that are hell bent on destroying everything that our founding fathers gave to us.

Our Founding Father's provided us with a framework on which to construct an outstanding government and build the greatest nation ever to exist on this planet.

These rinos, socialists and UN - globalist types are truly termites who gain sustenance from the destruction of that framework.

It's time to tent the house in order to save it.
