Two gold stars for you, a 44 special is my weapon of choice, very good defense weapon. I use a semi-Wad cutter, poured from wheel weights and Linotype lead with 3% tin to make it flow better. Sure works for me.

I just swtiched to the .357 Gold Dot ammo. Tried the JHP out on a pumpkin filled with water. Wow! what a mess! AND, the round went through a 1/4" plywood board and I was able to dig it up out of the ground (about 2"-3" deep). So the over penetration wasn't to bad.
