What a bunch of lying hypocrites they are. There is NO reason to believe that they condemn what MD4Bush did, since he works for them. This statement is a fake, phony fraud, just liek the "firing" of the staffers who illegally acquired Mike Steele's credit report.

To condemn this seriously and honestly would violate Democrat principles.

The statement is by ONE Maryland Democrat official, Keiffer Mitchell, a Baltimore City Councilman who was only involved with the MD Dems AFTER Ryan O'Doherty left. He has a reputation of being a stand-up guy (even though he's a Democrat). And he likely has designs on City Hall, which can only be helped if O'Malley moves on to the governorship (possible) or is forced to resign over the MD4Bush saga (very unlikely).

Getting this scandal out in the open now helps the Dems if the news of their involvement is going to get out anyway. Were it to blow up immediately before the 2006 election and O'Malley won the primary, it would be much, much worse.

A likely and advisable strategy at this point for the Dems is to make MD4BUSH their fall guy, their Lee Harvey Oswald, as it were.

Wherever the MD4BUSH conspiracy plot was hatched (whether from the O'Malley camp followers, from the Duncan camp, or other rogue Dems), they should get it all out and cut the players loose so their gubernatorial candidate is free from the stink of dirty tricks. And move on from here. Otherwise this shadow hangs over until the Governor's race. The stakes may be high because it could possibly blow back on O'Malley or Duncan.

Dude, I would vote for Keyes in a heartbeat over Barrack Obama bin Laden. I'M GOP and will always be. It's a shame that so many GOPers in IL don't feel the same. But it is the reality, we should have fielded a better candidate, that is our job and we failed.
