The analogy in the U.S. would be kicking out naturalized U.S. citizens for rioting. In other words, France will strip citizenship of foreigners and send them back to their homeland, even if they've never been there or speak the language. The leftists will have a cow over this!

Though certainly Sarkozy's position is too tentative and doesn't go far enough for me, it's gratifying that at least one French official will take any stand that does not place the blame on "racism, poverty, lack of opportunities, failure to integrate the foreigners, etc."

The French leaders are unquestionably pathetic on this issue. I wonder how the average Frog in the street feels about allowing these creeps into the country and then seeing them rampage and burn. I wonder if the weak-kneed French leaders reflect the views of the populace or if their leaders are as out of touch on the immigration issue as is George Bush and our leaders here.
