The Balkans had four wars and dominated U.S. foreign policy & military commitments in the 1990s. The Bush Administration has quietly made a great deal of progress: kept a lid on futher conflict, negotiated an end to the insurgency in Macedonia, withdrew all but a couple hundred troops from Bosnia, cut our troop strength in Kosovo by 2/3, helped put Milosevic & several of his under-thugs into the Hague, got diplomatic backing and troops from Albania, Macedonia, Croatia, and Bosnia for Afghanistan and/or Iraq, and now is pressuring to solve Kosovo--the last major Balkan issue.

And in 2010, will the UN demand that the US give up California and Arizona to Mexico? Same thing, really. And should we be forced to give Oklahoma back to the American Indians? And should the Islamics be forced to give all of Israel back to, er, Israel?

And er, should Mexico be given to it's new immigrants? And should Paris be given to the Islamics in say, 2015?

"Some 10,000 civilians were killed during his two-year crackdown on an Albanian guerrilla insurgency."
This is one of the problems the French have. They don't want to be like Melosevik. He knew how to handle Allah Nutbars. And Europe thought he was being too hard on the poor fools. I think Paris proves Milosevik's point.

That has been Richard Holbrooke should keep his mouth shut. That was his only, what he conceived, as a diplomatic triumph so I guess he wants to keep his name in lights.
Thank God Bush won and that idiot is not making our foreign policy.

I think it's time for NATO to completely reset its sites. It needs to recognize it's greatest threat: the Allah Nutbar movement. And who would be a better leader of NATO today than Melosevik?

Does the US really want a great Albanian state in Balkan? Do people in the State Dept. really believe that a 'great autonomy' will not lead to the genocide of the Serbs by the Albanian Muslims? Kosovo is where many ancient Serbian churches and monasteries are located. It holds a special place in Serbian hearts.

At the expense of the Serbs. Why? And when are we to expect the next thanks from the muslims and in what form?

I think Paris is being given away as we speak.
To: mark502inf
And the results of such policy are Al Qaeda bases in Bosnia and Kosovo.

How to solve Kosovo? Easy. Get the albanian invaders out of there and give it back to the Serbians who own it.
I am not a big believer in making apologies but we need to apologize to the Serbians for letting clinton help their moslem attackers instead of defending them.

Yup. The solution to the Kosovo problem is to rearm Serbia, send the illegal Albanian immigrants back to Albania, recognize the Serb farmers' long-standing legal title to lands in Kosovo, and reintegrate it into Serbia.

"They will have to figure out a way of letting Kosovo go," (Holbrooke) told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.Easier said than done. Kosovo to the Serbs is kind of like Jerusalem and the Alamo all rolled up into one.
To: Witch-king of Angmar; airborne
Correct. Paris is now Jerusalem.

Perhaps if you were posting on this forum during the Kosovo bombing, you would have a clue.

You may have been here longer, Arthur, but you demonstrably didn't use that extra time educating yourself upon the subject under discussion on this thread.
