Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to sleep soon so I can get up in the morning, go to work, and have my federal taxes go to pave the roads and build schools for everyone south of the mason dixon line.

Ain't it the truth. Last I checked, NJ was number 50 on the list of states according to federal funds received per every dollar paid in. We were at 49 a few years beforehand, and then we dropped to last place.

That needs repeating over and over because other states mistakenly believe they're sending money to us, when the reality is, it's the other way around.

Amen to that! And I love it when I hear that we voted for these taxes. Either way, no matter who I vote for at the state level, it's the federal government who's taking all the money from the state, forcing the state to tax heavily to make up the difference. That's why when Forrester said he was going to cut property taxes 30% people either thought that he (a) would raise some other tax or (b) was lying thru his teeth.
