English As The "Official" Language of America? A recent poll by a nonpartisan research firm says 83% of Marylanders believe laws should be passed making English the official language of the U.S. This would require that all official documents and government business be conducted only in English -- no more printing in other languages. Do you agree with this proposal?

Here in Mexifornia you have to "press one" for English...
Don't I know it!
Part of my job is to phone insurance companies.
Pressing "1" for English means that I wait in a longer queue, and then I get someone with a heavy accent.
Ay, ay, ay!

I sent this to Mayor Villaraigosa, (AKA Tony Villar) to inform him. I'll also send it to Babs Boxer and Jane Harman, who probably don't even know either.
Agreed. Their embassies should handle having it put into their native language. It should also be in English.
I don't know what happened or when it happened or who was responsible. However, I think we should make sure that it is fixed right now by our present Congress and signed by G.W. Bush!!!
"They politely said that they were looking for households which spoke Spanish, and started to walk away. "
