I am a consultant and a huge number of my colleagues tend to be conservative. Those who are liberals tend to be technically and managerially incompetent. I'm one too, here in toothless Fairfax County. I'd say perhaps 20-25% are conservative, at least amongst the circles I run in (Federal Civilian agencies). Maybe the DOD-types are better after all...

Federal Civilian agencies are where the biggest purge of deadwood needs to take place and yes they are the lazy, unproductive liberals.

The DoD types are about 90% conservative and republican. Liberals are intimidated in our business big time.
