Could French-style riots happen here? Yes, says a hopeful leader of 'Aztlan' separatist movement

While Many Americans are watching the chaos unfold following 12 nights of mayhem by largely Muslim immigrants in the streets of France, a leader of the separatist Aztlan movement in the U.S. says it's only a matter of time before worse unrest hits the streets of America.

"Can a similar insurrection occur in the USA?" asks Ernesto Cienfuegos of La Voz de Aztlan.

Yes, he concludes.

Agree. Like a lot things that go unexposed, and lie just under the surface. The man with the AKA will eventually run for Governor of California. Eventually they'll try and run him as POTUS. By 2012, 2016 or so, there will be approximately 60,000,000 illegal aliens in country. Not to mention millions of anchor babies. To be honest, I am not real confident about America's future, security or stability.

My goal, if anyone cares to know, is not to be the guy who had a dead guy in his kitchen. One day I hope to be known as the guy who spent a week in Mustique with three swimsuit models on vacation.

I don't want to be known LOL. I just want to do whatever I want, whenever I want without having to work about black helicopters or idiots.....

Those black helicopters wouldn't be piloted by swinsuit models, would they? If not, I don't give them much thought..

I've been thinking about it too. The worse thing is that the man with the AKA has, in all honesty a very good chance of becoming indeed Cacafornia's governor in, say 10 or 15 years. So far, he is "not doing a bad job", especially polishing up his image (he's a master in this) and making points. If anyone thinks he's only ambition is to be mayor has another thing coming. This guy is ambitious like no other and, IMHO also laks scruples like few people.

Years ago I had a great fondness for conspiracy theorists. All the conspiacies, you see, boil down to very small groups of people. I thought the theorists were optimists --end the conspiracy and all will be right with the world. That's a optimistic view of mankind.

Then I actually met a theorist face to face. It was, to my disappointment, a hugely annoying experience.

Two things:

A) Almost by definition conspiracy theorists boil down very complex situations into outrageous yet very simplistic terms. Very much like the cargo cults.

B)Conspiracy is an act of faith. If there is something that can be taken as proof, then it's proved. If there is no proof, then the conspiracy is doing a good job.

It's very difficult to have a conversation when these two elements are in play.

I would imagine that most arguments are filled with hyperbole and generally maintain a circular form? :-)

Remember, 2010 is only about 4 years away. At one time it seemed a long way off. HA! 2k still seems like yesterday.

It's mostly based on belief systems. Like a religion. You can't argue belief with someone who believes.

Almost. I'm furnishing it in shag carpeting and bean bag chairs with a quadrophonic sound system and a ten year supply of Boone's Farm strawberry wine.

I'm off to work. Take care.

Speaking as a fellow FReeper, conservative, dry humored "northwoods Yankee" in a small town of 5200, knowing every square inch of local terrain ( nooks, crannies, gullies, ravines) of the surrounding woods between the local townships...I have no doubt we would hand the rioters their a$$eS in no time. They'd be playin in our backyard ;) ...not a wise thing to do...at all.

But realistically, they would have no reason to traverse my neck of the woods.

M-13ers are nothing more than urban thugs with guns.

We'd have things wrapped up before dinner time.

Sure, it could happen here- and the first time one of Ernesto Cienfuego's homies burned a car in the barrio the fur would really start to fly-

Chingasa!! Look at what that vato loco is doing to my ride! You are going to die, puto!

And unlike the car burners of Paris, the car burners of East LA would have a very short career.
