Principal Gary Seale was wounded but managed to tackle the student and taken into custody.

This man is a hero. If he hadn't done this, it's likely the student doing the shooting would have killed other students.

In addition to the SF handgun ban vote, there is a bill in the Congress called something like the D.C. Personal Protection Act that loosens handgun controls in Wash. D. C.

You lock down a crime scene as SOP. Make sure all injured are identified and taken care of, ensure there are no accomplices and secure the scene for evidence.

Of course real cops will do that and not the ATF.

I would not describe Campbell County either "isolated" or "very poor". Interstate 75 runs through it and it has several resort developments. It is rural in nature.

Schools have been locked down regularly since the Drug War went turbo in the 1980s states started banning teachers from conceal carry in the early 80's.

I still remember catching a glimpse of my math teacher's ankle holster every so often, before the bans.
