I think he's referring to some poll from a while back. I think the poll may have been of dubious origin, though.

True. Pat always has a weird take on stuff like this. Like in "The Death of the West" Japan is (for his rhetorical purposes) part of the West, but Mexico isn't.

That's weird. Mexico is almost all Catholic with some Protestants (you think he'd appreciate that at least). Japan is Shinto and Buddhist. Mexico speaks Spanish, a European language, Japan speaks Japanese, etc.
