The Romans conquered the barbarians—and the barbarians conquered Rome.
So it goes with empires. And comes now the penultimate chapter in the history of the empires of the West.
This is the larger meaning of the ritual murder of Theo Van Gogh in Holland, the subway bombings in London, the train bombings in Madrid, the Paris riots spreading across France. The perpetrators of these crimes in the capitals of Europe are the children of immigrants who were once the colonial subjects of the European empires.
At this writing, the riots are entering their 12th night and have spread to Rouen, Lille, Marseille, Toulouse, Dijon, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Cannes, Nice. Thousands of cars and buses have been torched and several nursery schools fire-bombed. One fleeing and terrified woman was doused with gasoline and set ablaze.
The rioters are of Arab and African descent, and Muslim. While almost all are French citizens, they are not part of the French people. For never have they been assimilated into French culture or society. And some wish to remain who and what they are. They live in France but are not French.
The rampage began October 27 when two Arab youths, fleeing what they mistakenly thought was a police pursuit, leapt onto power lines and were electrocuted. The two deaths ignited the riots.

Sorry that should read stoking the fire here.
Other firearms do.
So, handguns? I'd call that very restrictive. The average citizen, IME, is not likely to hunt in France, proper. Therefore, if the average citizen cannot have a hand gun, I'd call that RATHER restrictive.
"Guilty of "lookism", eh? lol. Thank you, I'll go back to my searching."
Those websites are good, because they give you each depute/senateur's name, district, legislation proposed, etc. And a photo. I suppose one could go through every photo and count all the non-whites, but that would take a long time and I knew that most from the overseas departments would not be white.
I'm neutral on Pat Buchanan. Sometimes I agree with him, and sometimes I don't. As for this article, I couldn't agree more. His reference to Empires of the past and what the empires of today (especially Europe) are facing is striking. If there aren't some serious changes, and I mean now, we could be facing some serious trouble in the future.
Then there is not a "no exception". Quotas for females is still a quota. Do you know why the reality is not there? Not enough women running for public office?
Scouting is awesome. I have two in Boy Scouts, a First Class and a Tenderfoot. Enjoy. It just keeps getting better...
legislation proposed
THAT is intriguing. I hope to find the proposed legislation of the elected -- especially in the areas currently burning.
Thank you for posting this.
the strings to this puppet lead to all the way back to IRAN. check the Iranian terrorist leader' ahmadinejad's recent speeches and connect the dots.
chess after all was invented in IRAN, and if Sarkozy comes to power in France and starts supporting the US in a big way in Iraq/Afghanistan and against Syria and Iran (a direction France was already moving in, albeit glacially), Iran's carefully layed plans for the return of the Mahdi go up in smoke (that's a pun sort of since they aren't afraid of going up in smoke -- think of an entire nation wearing a suicide bomber belt...)
"The average citizen, IME, is not likely to hunt in France, proper."
France is a large, rural country with a lot of wild game.
Hunting is extremely popular.
Guns are not rare in French homes, although they are rarer in the city.
Also, it is not illegal to own the other types of weapons, such as a handgun. One must simply obtain a permit and register the gun. The hardest part for some to clear is that to get a permit own a non-hunting gun, one cannot have a criminal record.
Also, guns are not difficult to obtain, if we are speaking of hunting rifles and shotguns. There are arsenals that sell these and one purchases what one pleases.
Military weapons?
No.
Civilians do not need military weapons, machine guns, armor piercing bullets and the like. Those things are for killing the police and the army, and one does not have a right to kill the police and the army.
"Then there is not a "no exception". Quotas for females is still a quota"
Yes, but it is not a law.
It is a Socialist Party rule that was adopted by many parties as their own voluntary rule.
Many women do not present themselves for office.
Excellent article.
France is not a country of tight gun control.
Of all the countries in Europe, it has been one of the most lax. French people always liked to hunt and still do.
snip:
These variations aside, there are few differences between the hunter and the private citizen.
The accredited target shooter and member of the FFTir, however, is the only citizen to be allowed to have military calibre arms. To be so classified requires membership of a shooting club, and a six-month probation period forbidding purchase of first and fourth category firearms, but providing unrestricted use of any in the fifth, seventh and eighth categories. After that six-month period, application is accepted for an autorisation de dtention for a first or fourth category firearm. This done, the shooter is then allowed to buy and own up to seven centrefire handguns or rifles and five rimfire handguns or rifles in the first or fourth category. Centrefire ammunition is allowed up to a thousand cartridges per gun per year. The certificate is renewed each three years.
This refreshing attitude to gun ownership indicates that the French authorities have recognized the foolishness of restricting individual guns -
end-snip:
"REFRESHING ATTITUDE"? roflmao. These French Laws are RESTRICTIVE. The caveats (while attacking Australia) are so rosy, and laughable.
It is a Socialist Party rule that was adopted by many parties as their own voluntary rule. Many women do not present themselves for office.
Thanks for stating so.
What do rioting Moslems have to do with Israel? What does a listing of terror events have to do with Israel? What does a description of a "soaring Muslim population is a Fifth Column inside" have to do with Israel?
Nothing, according to Buchanan.
To him Israel is different then the rest of the World fighting off Islam.
Exactly my point. Thank you.
