Cartwright! Cartwright!
I was thinking the very same thing.
"The French will blame themselves for their lack of sensitivity to the Islamic way of life for the unrest. After consultations with Islamic leaders it will be decided that expecting Muslims to become French was an infringement on their rights. In the end, it will be the French that change, not the Muslims. Once again, Islam will be rewarded for violence and its cause will be advanced."
This sums up nicely the strategy for taking over a guilt-ridden, self-hating, yet powerful and dominant liberal culture by a poor, proud and determined minority with strong convictions.
I guess we now know why the libs have been desparately trying to disarm US citizens. They (the libs) are nothing more than islamofascist espionage agents. I believe the penalty for espionage in time of war is the firing squad.
The real muslim forces will be augmented by their recruits they have met in prison or have wandered into the mosques seeking their "Roots" who have names lie TuPak, Mohammad and Abdul and Barak.
Compare the way France handled the outbreak of the Algerian war to the way they are handling a warfare outbreak in their own homeland. The time difference is about 50 some years. Note the quotes from the French Leaders in the past.
Excerpted from Wikipedia Free Encylopedia
In the early morning hours of November 1, 1954, FLN maquisards (guerrillas) launched attacks in various parts of Algeria against military installations, police posts, warehouses, communications facilities, and public utilities. From Cairo, the FLN broadcast a proclamation calling on Muslims in Algeria to join in a national struggle for the "restoration of the Algerian state, sovereign, democratic, and social, within the framework of the principles of Islam." The French minister of interior, socialist François Mitterrand, responded sharply that "the only possible negotiation is war." It was the reaction of Premier Pierre Mendès-France, who only a few months before had completed the liquidation of France's empire in Indochina, that set the tone of French policy for the next five years. On November 12, he declared in the National Assembly: "One does not compromise when it comes to defending the internal peace of the nation, the unity and integrity of the Republic. The Algerian departments are part of the French Republic. They have been French for a long time, and they are irrevocably French
Between them and metropolitan France there can be no conceivable secession."
Would you believe one year (or less.)
"YES....BUT WE HAVE GROWN SOFT
FOLKS IN THE 40S AND 50S WOULD HAVE NEVER TOLERATED THE CRAP ARE ASKED TO DAY IN DAY OUT
THERE ARE FREEPERS WHO THINK WE SHOULD HAVE OPEN DOORS TO MOON ROCKIES"
Less then half of the country on the left have gone soft. This is America and we should welcome those who want to become part of the American dream. It is the sharing of the dream of true freedom that made and us makes us great. However, we can pick and choose the groups of peoples we allow in or allow to stay. This objective can be managed properly. Those groups must also contribute to our society. The incentive to integrate into our society is gone, it is too easy and these groups get benefits and abuse the system.
"Oh they'll spill out into the streets for burning and looting parties. They'll have arms (what do you think they do in those mosques that have sprouted up all around America?)and they'll shoot at us."
Yes that is true, they may shoot at us. In fact, the DC sniper was an example of such an event. The violent movement of Islamic factions will stay a minority in this country in my opinion. And when they do form gangs and start shooting at us? We will kill them. I try and put it into perspective and read some history. It's a brave, scary new world but it is a heck of a lot safer then in ancient times of maurading armies. An enemy that is hiding within won't stay hidden for long. It is 280 million of us and 10,000 of them, keep that in mind.
"The difference between Europe and the US is 200 million gun owners."
Exactly Tonto.
You'd better care. France has nukes!
I do care--I was quoting a guy who didn't.
yeah I hope that was a misprint LOL
[...I do care--I was quoting a guy who didn't...]
Please forgive me Dunstan. I had not seen the nuke point made yet. Please forgive.
RE: Your home page. Did you know that C.S. Lewis' "Screwtape Letters" was given to the British troops during WWI to boost troop morale?
Te absolvo.
RE: Your home page. Did you know that C.S. Lewis' "Screwtape Letters" was given to the British troops during WWI to boost troop morale?
No, I didn't know that, and thanks for telling me. This would, of course, never be permitted nowadays. (And I think you meant WWII.)
Ever heard John Cleese's recording of Screwtape Letters? Cleese was perfect for Screwtape.
[...John Cleese's recording of Screwtape Letters?...]
Vouset un bon homme. En chante.
I would like to hear Cleese's version of Screwtape. Wonder where I can get it. You are correct. It was Churchhill who asked Lewis to write something to encourage the troops. Screwtape was the result. Ah. Un Outre Temp.
Quel Domage.
(French is rusty. Please forgive the spelling)
We should begin seeing less suicide bomber action. Word has gotten out that their excuse for a "heaven" is running out of virgins.
What a contradiction in everything is a koran reading, bomb detonating mooslem. They want to die and we want to kill them.
But they don't eat pork.
I got my copy some years ago on audiocassette, but I have forgotten from where--it was one of those unsolicited catalogs that turn up in a mailbox and never reappear. I'm sure it's out on CD nowadays, but I don't know where you'd find it. No doubt amazon.com would be happy to direct you to it.
Screwtape - John Cleese.
I tried to produce a play version a few years ago. It was not a very good script. The writer completely lost the Spiritual nuance. Now if G. K. Chesterton had written the play... now that would have been amazing. Wonder if Lewis ever pitched the idea to Chesterton?
It's more than just "less than half".
Many on the right are downright eat up with political correctness over immigration...this administration por ejemplo.
The only Muslims we should let in are those whose lives are in danger for having helped us....like Kurds here in Nashville
I saw some scarved women today following their men around with eyes averted looking downward. I'm all for the man being hombre of the house but I loathe that scared pup shite most of these Muslim women have....and usually from some gimpy little swarthy guy who couldn't bust a grape.
We have seen the consequences of relaxed immigration but it will take a Hiroshima level cataclysm to wake up our sorriest generation asses.
Such an approach is a sure fire recipe for disaster when facing an enemy that only recognizes strenght, power and the ability to take on the threats and anarchy quickly, properly and permanently.....
