I haven't seen the show, but I'd bet money that President Geena Davis is an Independent who holds the following views:

Pro-homosexual
Pro-abortion
Anti-Christian influence in politics
Anti-death penalty
Anti-business
Pro-social services.

In other words, mainstream, moderate views held by every Democrat in the country.
