As I've said since 2003... by 2050 there will be Statues of GBW in many nations in the ME, and I would also think more general monuments to 'the American soldier" would be around different places.
The sacrifices that we made and that all of our honorable men and women in Iraq will never mean 'less' than right now. And I don't mean that in a negative way, only that the actions taken now will only snowball and eventually become the story, the history of not only a nation but an entire region.
The Troops are a HUGE catalyst, but without the desire by the locals it would never happen. It looks that, at least in Iraq and some others, they are willing and are fighting for it.
When we do succeed, the magnitude of the victory will grow as the base foundation for improving the lives of millions, and in turn deal a fatal blow to terrorism.

I hope you are right! GW is definitely a brave man to go out and face up to the enemy and not cower in a corner like the European leaders have done!
