On NBCs Meet The Press this morning, host Tim Russert stocked his panel with three left-of-center journalists Nina Totenberg of NPR, Ron Brownstein of the Los Angeles Times, and David Gregory of NBC News to discuss the events of the week. When they got to the nomination of Samuel Alito to replace retiring justice Sandra Day OConnor, Russert mentioned that when Bill Clinton was president, both Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer, despite obvious Liberal leanings, were approved by a strong majority of both Democrats and Republicans. And they say, Why can't we have the same courtesy to conservative jurists under President Bush?"
In response, Totenberg said: If you look at the Ginsburg nomination, for example, she'd been a judge, I think, for 12 years. She'd been, actually, a pretty conservative liberal judge, if you can be such a thing.

More fairness and balance (all paid for on the back of your tax dollars) from NPR.
Wonder what would happen if someone said "some black guy"....

And if she hadn't no one would know who Nina Totenberg was. She's the one who 'broke' the Anita Hill story

We would know that she is the "journalist" involved in breaking the Anita Hill story (from illegally leaked sources).
She was directly involved and certainly partially responsible in that conspiracy to treat confidential Senate information as fair game.
And she presents herself as the "Legal Analyst" for NPR.

She'd been, actually, a pretty conservative liberal judge, if you can be such a thing. Actually, if you went to the Kerry Political School it's pretty easy. She must have been a conservative before she was a liberal. In the womb maybe?

That smug, cackling old hag...her side is losing, and she's going to have to report it, and there's nothing she can do about it. Dubya will have the last laugh.
It was highly amusing listening to NPR Monday morning when Alito's nomination was announced.
They were all in a tizzy, freaking out in hushed, concerned tones. The leftist drones had just had their anthill kicked, and they were all scurrying around trying to figure out what to do about it.

Yikes! She looks like Janet Reno's little brother.

Why is there still an NPR?
I believe it's necessary as some doctors still prescribe it for advanced cases of insomnia.

Well .. Ginsberg was counsel to the ACLU - and you can't possibly be anything remotely resembling the word "conservative" and work for the ACLU.
Of course Nina is just an ignorant democrat who thinks we conservatives are too stupid to know the difference.
