I've always liked Rummy. This article does a lot to explain his vision (one military) and his concern for our troops (allowing the military to bid on assignments).
America has always had a superb military force, but Rummy's concept of them as all members of the same team who can outwit and outmaneuver the enemy appeals to me greatly. In too many past conflicts, we had troops who were cannon fodder instead of being the controllers of the action.

I really like that we are publicizing where in the Pentagon Rumsfeld's offices are.
We don't want the Islamonazis to miss his office the next time, do we?
(I realize this isn't top secret info, but could we make Al-Qaeda work a little to find out this little fact? Sheesh.)
