Just visited her. Considering she is 81 and just had hip replacement op physically she is fairly well. She is awake and alert apart from the dementia. Main problem is that they need to get more fluid into her, they have her on a drip but they really need to get her drinking. The staff are very patient and they try but when she shuts her mouth and pushes it away there is not much they can do. She did drink 2 glasses for me and apparently she had just had a couple from another nurse a short while before.

I will be taking some orange squash (cordial) in tomorrow to mix with the water to see if this helps.
