LOS ANGELES, Nov. 5 -- A Jewish Defense League activist imprisoned for his role in a plot to bomb a California mosque and an office of Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), who is a Lebanese American, was killed at a federal prison in Phoenix, an FBI spokesman said Saturday.

Krugel, a former dental assistant, and JDL leader Irv Rubin were arrested in 2001 and charged with conspiring to bomb the King Fahd Mosque in Culver City and a field office of Issa. Rubin died in 2002 after what authorities called a suicide bid in jail.

Many Muslims in prison.
They claimed that Irv Rubin committted suicide -- but I always had my doubts.
Does story say 'how' he was killed. . .and by whom?
Not nearly enough.

Many converted to Islam while in prison, from what I've heard.

Maybe somebody was tipped off that he would be arriving, and had a contract put out.
Think 'murder by suicide'. . .is the real cause.

Makes you wonder if wardens are monitoring things or if they just see it is our country's duty to allow "freedom of religion". You are right, prisons are terrorist training grounds.
while i could care less about these two criminals meeting their fate earlier than anticipated, it is worrisome that muslims have this kind of power in the prison system. the prison system is where most american black muslims are made and those bonds are strong, just another seedling nibbling away at this nation.

Penal institutions are the recruitment and training centers for the terrorists.
