The post that you are answering to was a reply to an ongoing discussion with fishtalk and, taken by itself, is somewhat out of context. Oops...sorry.

Will the Eiffel tower itself start burning soon? It's time for that 'Team America' GIF - Someone has to have it ... ;)

Correction - they are US soil, formerly French, and surrounded by France.
French law does *not* apply in our extraterritorial cemeteries.

France's response is analogous to a parent giving in to a child's temper-tantrum demands. The result will be more tantrums. In this case, the result will be more riots.

But the worst is over, right? /sarcasm This has ghot to be an organized effort. An intifada. A run-up to the next level. Once again, French appeasement fails.

The smart ones moved to the US years ago.
The slightly less smart ones are moving *now*.

From the article: "But it remained unclear what could stop the violence..."
You're right. A good start would be to exchange the rubber bullets for live ammo.

The question is, if they ask if they can borrow Rumsfeld for a month, should we be prepared to lend him out?No. It's probably a trick. ;-)

Sure! The price for loaning out Rumsfeld for 30 days should be:
1) The voluntary surrender of all French nuclear weapons to the US.
2) The voluntary resignation of France from the UN Security Council in favor of Japan.
3) The complete dismantlement of any French foreign intelligence agencies (see: false information feeds to allies).

If Pravda was American right wing, this is what it should say:
The riots in France will serve no purpose whatsoever, and stupid europeans will say that more immigration should be allowed. The riots are also due to it's immigration of peoples unwilling to integrate into society due to barbarous religion. The fault lies in the narrow-minded, hypocritical, socialist-communist moonbats who say immigration is good despite while refusing the fact that immigration of a culture seeking to impose it's will is wrong.
What Sarkozy is reported to have said has little bearing on these riots, as the riots began before he referred these criminals as scum, and so therefore his comment is virtually irrelevant.

If anyone reading remembers that Sci-Fi series called "Lost in Space", France would be the Doctor Smith of this planet. Always lying and deceiving, cowardly, playing dirty tricks. Yet in the end the lost in space family always saved Dr. Smith even when he risked their lives on some trickery he'd just played out. LOL! You nailed it.
To: Polybius
In the end, this is good for France. It is teaching them a valuable lesson.I agree.
Even though I think Islam is pure evil, I must pay a begrudging compliment to them on their strategy. Very clever. Very reptilian.

the rolling nightly riots are being organised via the InternetI scrolled through the thread--maybe I missed it, but does anyone know what those websites might be, or have a link?

Irrelevant, but for the fact that the establishment has been looking to marginalize him for years, and they've been able to use his own words to do it. (However disingenuous their sound clips may be.)

I know a guy who is near retirement who plans to retire and live with his very elderly parents in France. It will be fun to see how long it takes for his family to start begging to visit him here--permanently. :-)
This guy draws all the short straws. His primary source of a healthy income used to be the Catholic Church (before they spent all their money settling lawsuits). :-)
