WASHINGTON – Ambassador Joseph Wilson's attorney is demanding Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely retract a statement he made to WND that the man at the center of the CIA leak case "outed" his own wife as a CIA employee in conversations more than a year before her identity was revealed in a syndicated column.

I actually hope this one makes it to court. Then, we can get that lying weasel Joe Wilson on record with sworn testimony. This should be good. Did not Vallely's son die in Iraq?

I'm hoping there are a number of these over the next few weeks. A constant drip, drip, drip of one witness after another putting the finger on old Joe himself for the "outing".

Fitzgerald isn't interested in the "outing" - his GJ was just a big perjury trap for Libby and Rove. Between this story, and the andrea mitchell transcript - she was "out" way before this reached the white house. this is one reason why Fitz didn't indict on the "outing" charge (aside from the fact it did not occur) - the perjury and obstruction charges are nice and neat, compartmentalized, the trial doesn't have to go into all this stuff, it will just focus on what was said and when to the GJ.

why is WIlson exempt from testimony? well, who is investigating anything regarding Wilson? Fitzgerald isn't.
Is this the actual Justice Department assignment to Fitz, or did he narrow his "investigation" (2+ years and counting for a few weeks of work) on his own?

Paul Vallely is a good man and has served his country honorably for many years as a military officer and done so with distinction.
Joe Wilson would have been well advised to not ever open his mouth for whatever purposes he intended,, he is now reaping a whirlwind of his own creation, imo.

Right...Fitz went in ONLY to look at the Bush administration and who he could "take down". He didn't go in to figure out who leaked Plame's identity.
If Lyin' Joe is pissed about the Vallely charges, then they must be true.
